This year has a been a wonderful year for me stylistically speaking. I was featured ion the countries leading airline magazine and not so long after that I got the opportunity to shoot content with my favourite local fashion magazine - Monochrome Magazine. Being able to talk about my style and how it has evolved over the years has been a major joy this year so far. I enjoy dressing well, I have realised lately that it is my way of worship too, dramatically my life depends on me looking good - just kidding but this is how deep dressing well and looking good is for me.We did a few videos of some outfits which I wore. I have a gallery with some of the photos from the shoot. Look 1Look 2Look 3So you can watch my Mono Style Story in the video below! Tell me what you think!

Special thanks to Rukee Kaakunga, who wrote a wonderful piece on my style for the March 2022 edition of the Fly Namibia Magazine. Shili Munyama of Creative South captured beautiful images of me to emphasise the feature. There is no story of mine that would not be told without mentioning fashion, style and grooming. As seen in Fly Namibia Magazine.THE LORDLY REVIEWThere is always rhythm in anything Dj Dreas does, well sequenced, flexible, ever-moving creative flow. So be it its a virtual live pop up show on Instagram or an actual event, Dreas will deliver a dance record! You will move your body to his music, with pleasure! Amis Day Club, was a good 8/10. I would give a 10/10 but that would be bias, because I am G's with Dreas...I rhymed, I am rapper now! Jokes aside, the event was well curated, from my arrival to the departure I felt as though I was in the right space. THE LORDLY NODThe only thing I would have loved, was for people to dress to match the theme. The theme was "casual brunch" only the host and three or two people read the theme. My only focus is on mens fashion, Dreas looked slick in linen head to toe! Kevin Perestrelo always dresses well, he wore olive linen ensemble and an emerald green vile neckpiece. Of course trust renowned events photographer, Augusto Bolas will always have the best pair of sneakers in the room, restauranteur Thando came to a close second with a pair of New Balance XC-72 Castlerock Black THE LORDLY INSPIRATION3 weeks into 2022, the year shows some fantastic trends when it comes to men’s fashion. The year began with a bang, seeing that there weren't as many opportunities to dress up in the past two years, as we ease into a post-pandemic era, there is an emergence of futuristic trends, but not to outplay retro fashion cues. The 2022 gentleman is loaded with attitude, class, and taste. Simple wearable clothes with a hint of opulence are going to be the new drama! The time to look like an editorial photoshoot on a regular day is over, the world is moving towards calmer and peaceful styles. So even if the outfit comes to ultra-thin sunglasses, bold stripes, other throwbacks from the 90s, or the latest in today’s fashion, the 2022 man’s wardrobe is extremely wearable. One of the trends I am digging is the silk scarf! Get some inspiration below! THE LORDLY MOODWhen I was thinking of what I was going to wear, like always I put a mood board quickly, everything I wear, to event specifically should be an interpretation of my mood. What I wear represents me, it should tell a story. Lately in 2022, my inner-Latin-Catholic raised voice is very expressive. I wanted something that represented that. Bright colours and 17th Euro-centric patterns! An expression of the desire every young person has for wealth! Now I am not sure if I will make it to the next one, lol, the event was booked out in 6 minutes, hectic chats. Anyways stream DAYSBEFOREULTRA everywhere here!
SMART CASUAL BIRTHDAY DINNER GET-UPI would like to start this post by congratulating my friend Roxy Polo! On her 10k followers milestone on Instagram! It also was her birthday on Saturday which she shares with her twin sister Foxy Polo. We had a small and intimate surprise party for Roxy as friends, out of her 7 friends present, I was the only guy there. Mind you, these ladies always look good! So it was only right that I dressed well for the occasion too. So this short post will explain my simple but memorable outfit. THE OUTFITDETAILS

GOTHAM PORTFOLIOIS INFLUENCER MARKETING A SUSTAINABLE CAREER?by David WamamboThis post is based off a thread I first posted on my Twitter and Beauty Boois recommended that I also share this on my blog. Beauty is an artistic content creator herself and do check out her work by clicking this link: linktr.ee/beautyboois THIS IS A NEW FIELD FIRST OF ALL...The biggest concern I have with this line of work is th manner in which it is grossly misunderstood locally. First of all following is not influence, it’s REACH. An effective influencer has what we call a SOV/ Share of Voice that fuels itself through their expertise. What they should fuel is their POV/ Point of View. So for me when someone claims to be an influencer when they only exist significantly on one social media platform, I get quite worried. Influencer Marketing is relatively a new field & a few of us can predict what this field will look like in the next few years. I always wonder, will the trends be the same? Will we still look at influencers for inspiration? Is TikTok going to vanish like MySpace? What if someone hacks YouTube or Instagram and accounts are deleted and people lose their accounts, follower and content. This is possible remember the #WannaCry ransomeware attack in 2017? IS THERE SOME FORM OF JOB SECURITY?Well with that said, this is going to be quite a brutally honest thread. Let us start with answering this question, is there a sense of job security in this field. The answer is no one nows if their jobs are secured. That alone shows you there is absolutely no security. Income fluctuates between months and a lot of companies never actually pay their Influencers because most influencers do not have agencies or managers or people with skills in reading and negotiating contracts on their behalf. In the same vein I have so much respect for individuals that have made this their full-time job. Now that we have established that the issue of job security is uncharted territory, let's look at the three possible outcomes I have realized over the years. Eventually an unfortunate influencer, either is plunged into emotional & finial turmoil because the industry can be rough. An unsuccessful influencer either becomes irrelevant as their POV becomes weak due to either poor social consciousness or it is unwelcome by their audience. WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE?For the fortunate influencers, they eventually evolve from being influencers to lifecasting. Because their careers were very fortunate to give them high paying gigs their lives became interesting & now we're just following to admire. Technically their POV has been suffocated.
Successful influencers have managed to transform their brands from being influencers of brands but have grown to influence social discourse. Hint hint, from PUMA to Goodwill Ambassador of UNHCR. Other successful influencers, have become entrepreneurs and are now competing with brands they used to do influencer work for. So my last point is that, if you are venturing into #influencermarketing, be sure to have a goal beyond the next gig. like any other career the desire should be to impact your community positively and create a strong legacy. I hope this post was helpful. Do share with anyone interested in influencer marketing or personal branding.
